Memory matching

Memory Match

The whole board is shown to you, then every tile turns face down at once. What you managed to memorise in those few seconds is the only advantage you get.

How to play

Every tile starts face up. Memorise as much of the board as you can before the preview runs out — or press Start now to turn the board over early and bank the time you gave back as bonus points. After that, turn over two tiles at a time. A matching pair stays up; anything else turns back over after a moment.

Scoring

Each pair is worth a base amount that grows with your streak, so several matches in a row are worth far more than the same matches scattered between wrong guesses. Wrong guesses, hints and peeks are deducted, and clearing the board under par time adds a bonus. A bigger board multiplies the whole subtotal.

Two players

In a two-player game you take turns on the same device. Find a pair and you keep the turn; miss and it passes over. Hints and peeks are switched off entirely, because an advantage one player can buy is not a fair board.

Fair play

Every board is generated from a single seed, and a saved run is rejected if its layout is not the one that seed produces. Results are stored on this device. Public leaderboards stay unavailable until HitPuzzles enables server-issued runs and deterministic verification, and two-player results are never ranked.
